（2nd year of Enpō） - Began dealing in natural indigo dye in Nakagiraiura Village, Awa Province
- 1789
（1st year of Kansei） - Opened a store in Nihonbashi, Edo (where the current head office is located)

（Kansei 12） - Enacted the Edo store style law
- 1897
（Meiji 30） - Began selling imported indigo dye
- 1904
（Meiji 37） - Began selling artificial indigo dye ahead of the industry

（Meiji 38) - Established the Osaka branch in Minamihorie, Nishi-ku, Osaka.
